Precautions when using the borescope

A borescope has a very long glass lens (rod lens) inside.
Therefore, if it is subjected to a momentary strong impact, the internal glass lens may crack or break.

Although it is sealed in the stainless steel tube to protect the glass, please be especially careful when handling long and small diameter tubes.

Symptoms
The most common problem with borescopes is blurred vision.
 

 

When completely broken, it becomes pitch black.
 
If it breaks or cracks, you will have to replace the entire lens part.
Repair costs will also be high.
